Abstract:
This thesis is hypothesizing a healthier way to transition in and out of a city using existing and new infrastructure, in combination with public transit. This is done by creating a network of transportation hubs that help facilitate public transportation within the urban context of the city. By requiring a more efficient means of transportation it will reduce the overall space required for circulation that can then be reimagined. By facilitating public transportation the quality of life within the city can be enhanced, while reducing the amount of air, noise, and light pollution. This thesis takes place in the not so far future intended to be translated and incorporated into other city plans.
